It was my goal to not have any bait sponsors at all because I’ve always had my favorites and didn’t want to limit my options. My interest in the SPRO product line started with their frogs on the California Delta. There is usually a SPRO frog on my deck most of the year, due to the quality, action and my high confidence in the frog. When the BBZ swimbaits came around, they quickly became my favorite large swim bait on Clear Lake (don’t tell anyone!). When the economy started hitting my pocket book I saw the price and witnessed the effectiveness of the Aruka shad and Dawg topwater baits I made the switch. But, the single most important thing that drove me to signing up with this company is the hooks! I used to change out all of my hooks on my crankbaits prior to use. Not anymore. Every SPRO lure is armed with Gamakatsu hooks right out of the package.
